Freezing Weather Conditions in the UK UPDATED 28/2
Freezing temperatures and snow have arrived and are covering a large part of Britain today with more expected throughout the week, in what looks to be the coldest week for the past five years.
Up to eight inches of snow has fallen in Kent today and more is on the way for most of the country tomorrow. Deliveries have been affected in Kent, Surrey, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk and there have been smaller delays but deliveries still went ahead as planned up north in Yorkshire, Cumbria, Durham and Northumberland.
The snow moves onto Scotland tomorrow with 1ft 4in expected but our deliveries in conjunction with our local delivery partners are going ahead as planned for Friday and on Monday.
Here in London we had a small snow flurry, and chilly weather but that was enough to slow down transport, major rail networks and tube stations throughout the capital.
For customers we have had a 1 day delay in the delivery of our 15kg Wood Pellet Fuel but any orders affected have been upgraded to a next-day delivery and will be delivered either on Thursday or Friday this week.
The snow reminds us what a beautiful country we have and I hope you also have taken some good photos in the snow. For those with equine friends, I hope you were able to visit them today and ensure they are keeping warm and dry with their horse bedding.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY
More snow has arrived overnight blanketing large parts of the UK in thick snow. This morning we have London Thamesport and Teesport having difficulty along with our main distribution warehouse closing and sending employees home. This will unfortunately cause delays in our deliveries this week. More snow is expected this evening and we will be updating you as soon as we have new ETA's for you.
